India suffers from multiple pandemics
India Suffers from 'multiple' pandemics:-
This was an article describing the state of affairs of India during the peak of the pandemic. It is not my intention to hurt the sentiments of my country. It is just with regard to the state of affairs of the unprecedentedness and how the pandemic has hampered millions of lives.
I glanced through the headlines of my newspaper. I read the first page of the newspaper which had left me dumbstruck-'India the third worst-hit country after USA and Brazil' it was a matter of bewilderment to digest the fact that the Honourable President of Brazil ' Jair Bolsonaro' himself had got infected to the virus. Truly indeed we are to be blamed for our rapid succession in securing the third position in the list of worst-hit countries globally. I am also glad that not all of us are oblivious to a hazard worse than a tsunami.
Dharavi-a modern slum where more than a lakh people are residing has battled with the unprecedented pandemic. Hats off to those warriors who were a part of this. We should with a great heart appreciate this team achievement in the modern slum of Dharavi which is also one of Asia's largest slums.
It is high time that we now revive the already declining economy of this country. This is only possible with the support of the traders, businessman, craftsmen, and last but not the least the consent of big-time economists like Raghuram Rajan and Nobel Laurette Abhijeet Banerjee or Amartya Sen instead of taking the law in their hands and jeopardizing many lives by producing improper stimulus packages not beneficial for the commoners. We have already been weakened by cyclones Nisarga and Amphan which hit the shores of Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Odisha respectively. These natural hazards have added to the already depleting economy with the virus declining it further. India surpassing the ten lakh mark is a result of ignorance or rather a negligence. Instead of figuring out a dynamic solution for this highly populous republic, ministers are having a tussle with each other to become the chief minister and the issue has reached Rajasthan high court. These trivial issues are a menace to the commoners as the government is not addressing their day to day issues or resolving the pandemic and are engaged in winning the chief minister race. We are already in the midst of an ongoing turmoil between India and China and this Rajasthan tussle adds to the nation's burden.
A minister from Karnataka quoted that "only God can save us" stating such unwelcomed and unconstitutional statements while the nation is combating this uncertain time is not an attribute of a well-experienced minister. During this time it is the lowest strata who are being dogged by misfortune because of administrative and governmental misdeeds. There was police brutality in two places of India one being in Tuticorin and the other being in Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh, they were physically assaulted for the sole purpose of resisting the removal of encroachment, and in Tuticorin, they were beaten up brutally because they kept their shop open for a long time. The police ungratefully assaulted two innocent families in Madhya Pradesh and Tuticorin respectively. This could have been resolved just by warnings or fining the two families, not by physical torture. India is a vast democratic country surrounded by many intricacies that can only be met well with effective bureaucracy and governance. We could have resolved the India China standoff if we had affirmative and vociferous diplomats. We should, in fact, grasp some governmental knowledge from Poland and New Zealand who have battled this intricate issue with tremendous resilience. e should analyze the situation carefully produce a beneficial economic stimulus package not bound by corrupt MLA's who eat away the money. he Income Tax pad by Indian citizens should be utilized by The Ministry of Finance constructively and sensibly.
Many plasma donor banks should be opened in metros. Efficient, robust, and non-biased governance are the determinants of a victorious democracy.
India has the potential to reach greater heights if we are not fatal to corruption. Legend says that India was a very wealthy country once upon a time we can attain that status if we elevate ourselves.
